Hi, I’m Christos. I work as a dentist, and I am currently based in York; however, I provide care in practices across all of Yorkshire.
I am a General Dentist, meaning I have a list of patients I care for, providing everything from fillings, crowns, root canals, to bridges, dentures and whitening. I also see new patients for consultations.
When in Clinic
Although I still do a mix of everything, I have Enhanced Skills in Oral Surgery and this is the main focus of my work.
Let’s be honest: a lot of dentists can take a tooth out. I am not doing magic tricks here! I don't take myself too seriously, but I take my clinical standards and your comfort incredibly seriously. My postgraduate training and experience allow me to tackle complex cases; difficult wisdom teeth, teeth broken down to the gum, or ones with more “funky” roots. I also aim to differ in my approach.
I know the words "oral surgery" don't exactly sound like a relaxing day out, but I strive to make every visit bespoke to you, creating a calm and safe atmosphere. Here is what you can expect when you sit in my chair:
We Take Our Time: I intentionally book long appointments so that your visit never feels rushed. We take things at your pace, and if you need to pause and take a few breaks during a procedure, we absolutely will. We encourage bringing earphones for treatments, but even if you don’t, my speaker always has some music on.
Modern, Gentle Techniques: I use modern techniques that are much friendlier to your gums and bone. This means less trauma, significantly less time spent "pulling," and a much more comfortable experience for you. No knees on chest – I am not that flexible after all!
Implants: Replace what’s Lost
There are many options and approaches when replacing missing teeth in dentistry, including different types of dentures and bridges. However, if you’re eligible, the gold standard is dental implants.
It’s not the future. It is the present.
Especially as someone who regularly removes teeth as part of my job, I wanted to be able to offer the best to my patients.
This is why I completed a residency in dental implantology and partnered with Oxy Implants, a high-quality manufacturer from Italy with decades of clinical data, a huge presence in the UK, and experience in guided surgery, which offers superior predictability and limits human error.
The approach stays the same.
Beyond the Clinic
When I finally put down the dental instruments, you can usually find me hunting down a brew at an independent coffee shop, enjoying some rock and indie music, catching a basketball game, or heading to the cinema.
